I have a decent Asus ROG i7 laptop connected to an external 24” Dell UltraSharp monitor, Wacom tablet, M-Audio FW410 sound interface, mini audio mixer, Akai APC40 Midi controller and a microphone.

I use these software* to create, edit and finish my work, they are free to download and use, (except for Canon’s DPP which is bundled solely with their cameras, but if you do some search you might find a way to download it and install it).

This Version of Tracktion Waveform 11.0 is not actually free but OEM; it is bundled for free with some audio devices, the Behringer mixer I have. Nevertheless, the 7th version is free to install and it is fully functional.

GIMP

A cross-platform image editor available for GNU/Linux, OS X, Windows and more operating systems. It is free software, you can change its source code and distribute your changes.

Inkscape

Inkscape is professional quality vector graphics software which runs on Windows, Mac OS X and GNU/Linux. It is used by design professionals and hobbyists worldwide, for creating a wide variety of graphics such as illustrations, icons, logos, diagrams, maps and web graphics. Inkscape uses the W3C open standard SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) as its native format, and is free and open-source software.

Inkscape has sophisticated drawing tools with capabilities comparable to Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW and Xara Xtreme. It can import and export various file formats, including SVG, AI, EPS, PDF, PS and PNG. It has a comprehensive feature set, a simple interface, multi-lingual support and is designed to be extensible; users can customize Inkscape’s functionality with add-ons.

Blender

Blender is the free and open source 3D creation suite. It supports the entirety of the 3D pipeline—modeling, rigging, animation, simulation, rendering, compositing and motion tracking, even video editing and game creation. Advanced users employ Blender’s API for Python scripting to customize the application and write specialized tools; often these are included in Blender’s future releases. Blender is well suited to individuals and small studios who benefit from its unified pipeline and responsive development process. Blender is cross-platform and runs equally well on Linux, Windows, and Macintosh computers. Its interface uses OpenGL to provide a consistent experience. To confirm specific compatibility, the list of supported platforms indicates those regularly tested by the development team.

Darktable

Darktable is an open source photography workflow application and raw developer. A virtual lighttable and darkroom for photographers. It manages your digital negatives in a database, lets you view them through a zoomable lighttable and enables you to develop raw images and enhance them.

Raw Therapee

RawTherapee is a cross-platform raw image processing program, released under the GNU General Public License Version 3. It was originally written by Gábor Horváth of Budapest, and development was taken over in 2010 by a team of people from around the world. Rather than being a raster graphics editor such as Photoshop or GIMP or a digital asset management program like digiKam, it is specifically aimed at raw photo post-production. And it does it very well - at a minimum, RawTherapee is one of the most powerful raw processing programs available.

Ardour

Ardour is a hard disk recorder and digital audio workstation application that runs on Linux, macOS, FreeBSD and Microsoft Windows. Its primary author is Paul Davis, who is also responsible for the JACK Audio Connection Kit. Ardour is intended to be digital audio workstation software suitable for professional use.

It uses a web interface to control MIDI and OSC, convert between them with the ability to add visual elements, faders, knob and other input control according to your own needs. and you can access that interface through your Local ethernet or WiFi netwrok.
